Over the Swell

Over the Swell was born in 2018 during a surf session in the Indian Ocean. It was a short surf session, too short. The sea was transformed into an open dump. We were at the beginning of the monsoon and heavy rains were carrying trash up to the line-up.

After the shock and the indignation came the reflection. The certitude to have to act at our level, together, every day to protect the ocean. To give everyone the chance to surf on a clean ocean. The certainty that each of us have the capacity to initiate a positive and collective energy.

So we created the Trail for the Ocean. This trail, a competition, is open to everyone. It is held each year during World Ocean Day, between land and sea, in the Crozon peninsula. France. This event allows each person to participate either financially or as a competitor. The donations are then distributed to charitable organizations. Together, we are moving forward!

Since the third edition of the Trail for the Ocean, we are offering other activities such as the depollution of beaches aboard kayaks, bringing awareness to pollution through outings, and an educational platform between children from 4 countries.

In 2022, we organized our first mission to observe cetaceans in the North and South Atlantic during the Blue Observer scientific mission, aboard Iris, our partner boat

For 2023, we are organizing a second oceanographic mission, this time international, whose goal is to protect the biggest fish in the world from the danger of extinction: the whale shark.
